I think one of the things that most captivates me about these cookbooks is not only the easy and delicious recipes, but the cute and really helpful ideas that are littered throughout the pages.
When I was contacted by Gooseberry Patch and asked if I would be interested in reviewing one of their cookbooks, I was so excited that I could hardly wait for the book to arrive in the mail.
Oh this book is full of yummy recipes, the minute it arrived I sat down at the kitchen table and started marking which ones I would try and let me just say that I think there may be one or two pages in the whole book that didn't get marked *snort*Gooseberry Patch's 101 Hearty recipes is chock full of goodness and if you're a fan of cookbooks with pictures for every recipe, then this one is for you.
Main and Side Dishes, Speedy and Satisfying, Casual and Comforting, Desserts and a bunch of recipes that are perfect for gift giving year round.
So here are the first 3 recipes that I tried.......and trust me, I'll be trying many many more.
Cornbread Chicken Pot Pie

They were all very good but I will say that the one that got the biggest thumbs up from the family, were the Brown Sugar Barbecue Sandwiches. Mmmmm those were delicious!
